Yesterday was my first club tournament and it was awesome. I fished with Jeremy who put us on fish, was good with the net and helping me with quick releases. Thanks Worm. And another thanks for organizing the event and taking care of the food.
Rainy all day but overcast skies were a good thing. Caught a 33" pure on a white/silver spinnerbait and a 40" Tiger on Black/Silver Blade Bucktail Spinner. Had a nice blow up on one of my own lures, an 8" Perch Spook but that fish never showed itself again. I'll be back on that spot soon.
Here are 3 pics. One of Tome Sabia's nice 37" Tiger and my two fish.

I too would like to thank Jeremy on a great tournament! Congrats to all who landed our "girls"! This lake will be primo in a couple of years.
Sorry, i couldn't make the food, but after 9 hrs of casting, my shoulder couldn't handle anymore . I'll be paying for this for awhile, but was worth anytime spent on the water , hunting down those pink finned devils! Side note...I had one follow from a small muskie, and a landed nice sized bass ( 17") on a shallow invader no less, that was the highlight of my day. Oh, and fishing with Dan...that was OK too I guess... ;D
Thanks again Worm! You da man, even if those two were landed in my old boat!
Sometimes you've got to "jiggle' it, and sometimes you've got to give it one big

My brother and I had a good time fishing the lake. We came down on Saturday and spent a couple hours in the evening checking things out. Had 2 follows. On Sunday we saw a small 15-16" tiger laying on top of the water before we even started casting. We cruised the boat over to check on it and it took off like a rocket. We had good action between 9-10. Had 10-12 follows, 1 short strike and my bro caught a 28 tiger. We had a low 40s tiger follow up about 6 times, as it was coming in hot again the 28 came up and cracked his jerkbait. Didnt see the big one again, actually after 10 we didnt see a thing.

Worm, Nice job organizing the event, you had everything covered (literally) and after a day out on the water that food hit the spot! Congrats to all who raised and caught fish. To Bob's point, the club has come a long way and to have a tournament where we caught legal fish in PA says a great deal to the commitment of our members to improve our local fishery.
I had a nice time fishing with Tim who I previously haven’t fished with before so it was fun getting out on the water with someone new.

Congrats to Mike D. as the new King Of The Marsh, that's the way to start your first tournament! Also, Jeremy did a great job with setting up the event and the food, nice job!!! And wasn't it nice to see some of these tigers show up for the tournament. I guess there are more tigers in that lake then I thought. It just goes to show what 15 muskie boats can do.
Dave, I had my sandals as backup! 8)

Big Congrats, to the new KOTM, Mike D.! Now those are some really pretty fish! The weather was a plus for the tourney. Rain made for a private lake atmosphere, & the fish liked it too. We had a great time also. Thanks Jeremy for putting together a great tourney.
Hail to the new King!

What a day. Never would of expected it. Everybody's very welcome for the tourney and the food. Which I'm still eating. Just had some more for supper! Its got to be the best chicken in the world. I'm going to lick the keyboard after typing all of this. Congrats again and again to Mike D. Was awesome watching him land his two first club fish and he did on a day when it all counted. Watching that first fish come in on a follow and hammering it on the third figure eight was really cool. Again, congrats. I was throwing bucktails most of the afternoon and soon after Mike snapped one on it was only a few minutes and a huge tiger head came flying out of the water. Couldn't believe it. 20 minutes left in the tourny and he seals the deal. Again, congrats. I'm surprised that no one heard my scream after the release. I mean, my partner just won me a rod!!! So Matt if you want to sell that real you already bought for "your rod" let me know! ;D
Any time you want to partner up again "KING" your welcome on my boat. I had a blast fishing with you. What a way to christen a new boat! I was trying to think of a name for my new boat (its a fisher) and after the tourny I think the name will be "KING FISHER". 😀 LATER ON
ITS NOT THE SIZE OF YOUR BOAT
ITS THE SIZE OF WHATS ON YOUR BUMPBOARD!

Had a great time at the tourney, thanks to everyone who made it happen. Even though the muskies didn't cooperate for us, it was fun being out on the water with all you other musky nuts braving the elements and hearing of fish seen or caught throughout the day. Congrats to those who caught some nice fish, thanks for posting the pictures! Mike D, that tiger is a beauty!

Congrats to all who caught fish, and especially to Mike D., for taking the crown with a double! Sounds like everyone had a great time, in spite of the weather.
I'm sorry that I missed the tournament on "our" lake. I spent 11 hours fishing in the rain, having booked two Striper trips for the day. We boated 5 stripers up to 38" and had dozens of strikes and runoffs - all in 3' of water!! Fishing in the those tough conditions paid off nicely for my customers.

I, too, want to throw in my 2 cents to congratulate Chapter 50 for a great tournament! It was very well organized. (even though Tom Long didn't know where I should park!) Kevin and I raised 2 fish and we believe others caught them. So the opportunities were there for most everybody. One suggestion for next year, let's do this on a non-rainy day!!! ;D
Still Muskyless Ed and praying that changes one of these days!!!
Guess I'll have to catch them in WI.....

I didn't say it had to be a beautiful weather day. I don't care if it's overcast. I just don't want to end up feeling soaked at the end of the day. Know what I mean! And I think it would make the food more enjoyable if you didn't have rain water dripping down your neck!!! 😮 I would like to see the sun one of these days, though. I need the pick me up all that Vitamin D provides along with the psychological boost you get. Of course, I get that from doing a bunch of chants in a short time!!! ;D
Muskyless Ed and those pickerel are looking better all the time!!!
