just in case anyone is interested in signing up for a Boating Safety Course - Mercer County Community College (a bucktail throw away from Lake Mercer) offers the course over a 2-day session, after work, and not on a weekend! (2-day session 7-10pm for $83). For dates and availability call (609) 586-9446. Unfortunately with NJ you can't take the course on-line unlike other states. If you can take a course on-line and want the boating safety manual you can download it for free at http://www.njsp.org/info/marine.html. <god>< <<<<><<< Has spoke.....
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Here in NM, I was told that you can just show up at the end of the class and take the test if you've already taken the course online. I guess the big deal is having the proctored exam (which is nearly impossible to fail if you've stayed awake during the class). Of course, I was told this 2/3 of the way through the class, so it didn't help me at all.
