I'm brand new to MI50 and have been fishing for muskies in PA for about two years. Having grown up in Minnesota and watching the interest in muskie fishing grow over the years, it's been fun to get my bearings again here in PA. I'm so glad you guys are doing what you're doing to help the fisheries and educate other anglers.
I came across an article that might give everyone some good insight into how size limits can help the fishery. http://www.twincities.com/spor.....ld-max-out
Over the past 30 years, I've seen the Minnesota muskie fishing culture go from keeping anything over 36" to pushing for a 55" limit. I really do believe those higher minimums were part of what changed people's views on catch and release, and Muskies Inc. was instrumental in that.
If there's any organized way I can be involved in raising the minimums here in PA and helping to grow the fisheries, please let me know. I'd love to be part of it!
