The icons are called avatars. There are some icons preloaded on this board, but the real good ones you'll have to hunt for. Start here...

or search google for "board avatars" or "message board icons", etc.
1) Once you find one you like, right-click on the image and click save, and save it to your desktop.
2) Click Profile button that is located toward the top of this message board. Under EDIT PROFILE, click Forum Profile Settings
3) You now have several options. You can pick one that is already installed on the web server (Actors, Cartoons or Musicians)

You can point to one if you know the url
-or-
You can upload the one you saved in step 1 above
4) Then click the CHANGE PROFILE button at the bottom of that Edit Profile screen
