Hello there gents,

I am from Marlin Pa way up on the schuylkill.
Been huntin muskys for a couple of years, had one grab a trout I had hooked while fly fishing
above Port Clinton. Landed the guy 33" took a good while on my 5wt.
Now I hunt with the fly rod and big streamers, and build my own plugs for them also.
Will try to hit a meeting if work schedule is ok.
Would like to find another river rat to hunt with.

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

I don't know many people in the club, but from what I know, there aren't any musky fly fishermen, could be wrong though. Fly fishing muskies is like the ultimate adventure, good to here from someone seeking this misterious fish with a fly rod.

I tried it on a guided trip one time. I threw a 9 wt. fly rod with an all black streemer. No muskies, but did catch a few nice smallies.

There are a lot of good people in this club that would probably gladly share a boat with you. I could get into some fly fishing muskies!! 🙂

Let's try to meet up for some fishin.

We will have to do that.
I fish from and old canoe and do a lot of wade fishing for now.
Got a 16' run about I am working on should be able to hit the lakes with it this season.
It's plug building and fly tying time now.
Working on a school of new spooks for this year!!!
Well maybe a Steel head trip yet also.

Welcome to the board. Would love to see you come out to a meeting. Member or not, anyone is welcome. I really don't know much about the Schuylkill up that far, but interested in learning. I live very close to the river down in Pottstown area, and have had no luck yet. Some great looking water, but don't think there is a huge population so it will make it hard to find them.

There are plenty of river rats in the club and sure someone will be willing to share a boat with you. Unfortunatly, I only have an electric boat. If you ever want to hit some smaller lakes let me know.

Thanks,
Sebastian
